Life Happens. Now You Have a Safety Net.

The Portsmouth Group (PGI) has launched an innovative Internet navigation tool that promises to change how Americans access their most valuable resource: the on-line safety net of health and human services and assistance programs.

iSafetyNet.US is the first and only comprehensive on-line directory of services and links for all areas of the health and human services sector. Using the site, consumers can easily locate services and information on the complete spectrum of health-related topics, including seniors and their caregivers, children and families, medical and health services, mental health and substance abuse programs, minority information, public health alerts and much more.

“The Internet provides access to staggering amounts of information, says George Andrew Rose, PGI’s President and CEO. Search engines return millions of search results on words such as 'cancer'. Navigating the Internet is difficult and confusing. That is why we created a web site dedicated solely to cataloging America's on-line health and human services safety net.”

Health and human service agencies have embraced the Internet as an efficient way of providing information and delivering services. Over the past decade, the national safety net has quietly migrated to the Internet with many health and human services web sites added every day. “The problem now is locating the web site that offers the assistance, support or information that the consumer needs”, Rose explains.

Although individual consumers will find iSafetyNet.US easy to use and understand, the site is sophisticated enough to assist medical clinicians, social service caseworkers, employee assistance personnel and other professionals. “iSafetyNet.US is a web site that can help everyone at some point in their lifetime, says Rose. It is a navigation tool that consumers will use over and over again.”

Consumers can use iSafetyNet.US without charge. It does not require registration, donations or membership and the site has no annoying commercial or pop-up advertisements.

PGI also offers web-based case management, customized Navigation Assistance Profiles, Link Management and other ‘cybrarian’ services for individuals and organizations for a fee. For additional information contact
