Discount Drug Cards — Even Medicare — Deceive Americans Who Can Least Afford Sprialing Prescription

Americans pay a stiff premium for getting sick. Prescription drugs can be outrageously expensive; and alternatives (from Toronto to Tijuana, green tea to acupuncture) won't get the job done when you're feeling lousy and need serious medicine, stat.

“Discount” drug cards promise relief. But, most aren't worth the paper they're printed on. They seldom come anywhere near claimed savings; and, it's easy to pay more in monthly fees than you save on prescriptions.

Medicare cards may actually make things worse. Discounts pledged by Washington's new drug deal are already being wiped out by rising drug prices... boosted, so the prescription industry doesn't lose money selling to card-carrying seniors. And, since most Americans don't qualify for Medicare cards, they'll pay those steeper prices out of pocket.

Don Fink figures it's time somebody steps up to the problem. He's an industry insider, managing employee benefits for top professionals (businessmen, attorneys, entertainers, even the occasional Senator) for 30 years. And, he's really frustrated by half-baked solutions that line people's pockets and don't do anything to solve the prescription price problem.

Fink scowled, "When I saw the Medicare mess – after all the political talk and promises – I knew something had to be done... something to really start solving the prescription price problem, and protect people who can't afford the drugs they need."

He goes on, "If you don't know the original price, 'percent off' claims are lame. Who would believe a car dealer's discount hype, if they hadn't seen the sticker price? Even the best discount drug cards – even Medicare – come up short, because customers are flying blind. No matter what they promise, or how credible they look, it's all hype if you can't compare prices."

"The only answer is opening the market," Fink asserts. "And, we have to do it right now... or we'll all go broke for getting sick."

"Our solution changes the game...it's the same thinking and technology that revolutionized air travel and dropped ticket prices." Fink asserts, "We created MedCareCard to drive competition and open the market. Cardholders compare prices from pharmacies all across America; they shop smart and get the best deal. That forces competition. And, that lowers prices."

"Washington is playing election-year politics, not delivering drug benefits Americans need. Private drug cards produce profits, but no real answers. Meanwhile, MedCareCard is doing something to solve the problem; an affordable answer that gives Americans control over what they pay for prescriptions."

"We built MedCareCard to save money," Fink concludes. "Enrollment is $20 dollars, and this card is available to all Americans... you don't have to be a senior citizen. There are no monthly fees, no deductibles or extra costs... just a real solution, that's driving down prices and cutting prescription costs."

For an insider's view of America's prescription-price problem; a look at solutions that can get us out of the fix (without leaving for Canada); and tips to avoid prescription scams (that cost more than they could possibly save), talk with Don Fink. About Don Fink
Don Fink is a long-standing leader in the benefits management and insurance industries. Over 30 years, Fink served as chair of the industry ethics and business practice committee, and as acting liaison to the Nevada Insurance Division.

In 1998, he changed his life to change his industry... building a firm that delivers innovative, affordable health benefits for average Americans without big-company coverage.

A longtime Las Vegas resident, Don Fink serves as Chairman and CEO of Distinctive Card Services, as well as Principle and COO of Innovative Navigational Strategies.

About MedCardCard
Frustrated over skyrocketing prescription costs, Don Fink partnered with product innovator V21C Holdings to find a solution. Together, they created MedCareCard.

Its founders combined six decades of experience in benefits management, cutting-edge consumer products, communications and technology to devise a strategy that pushes down prescription prices, and puts Americans back in charge of health care spending.

MedCareCard learned from tactics and technology that opened the air travel market, bringing cardholders an easy way to shop, compare and buy prescriptions at the lowest possible prices, near home or nationwide.

MedCareCard is an independent subsidiary of DCS, in partnership with V21C Holdings, headquartered in Las Vegas. To learn more, visit www.medcarecard.com online.
