Houston Dermatologist Fights Razor Bumps by Creating Shaving & Skin Care Products

More than 10.8 million men, mostly of African descent suffer from pseudofolliculitis barbae (“PFB”) a condition that is commonly known as “razor bumps” and causes the skin to become inflamed and infected because of shaving. Dr. Milton D. Moore, a prominent Houston dermatologist, was one man who suffered from razor bumps, but decided to find a solution. He used his professional knowledge of dermatology and pharmacology to create the Moore Unique Skin and Hair Care line to develop an effective treatment for razor bumps.

Through his research, Dr. Moore became so knowledgeable about PFB that journalists and lawyers began to call upon him to discuss his knowledge about razor bumps and other skin and hair care issues. Lawyers have even called upon Dr. Moore to testify as an expert witness in employment discrimination cases where men challenge an employer’s no-beard policy and claim that they should not be fired for wearing facial hair because razor bumps prevent them from shaving.

To solve the problems associated with razor bumps, Dr. Moore developed a patented pre-shaving product called "Hydroglide Shaving Solution and Body Moisturizer." This product soaks the skin, softens the hair follicle and produces a closer shave that reduces skin cell loss and razor bumps. He also developed a companion product called "Razor Rash Relief" which is an aftershave cream that soothes the skin to help prevent razor burn and bumps.

Dr. Moore tested both products on more than 500 patients with 98% of the patients reporting that they experienced an improvement in their shaving-related problems after using Hydroglide and Razor Rash Relief. The patients also said that Dr. Moore’s products were “far superior to anything they had previously used.”

"Hydroglide Shaving Solution and Body Moisturizer" and "Razor Rash Relief" are now available in select Wal-mart and Walgreen's stores across the nation. The entire Moore Unique Skin and Hair Care product line is available via the Internet at www.mooreunique.com or by calling 1-(800)-745-9422.
