KoBu Power Raises the Bar at Bally Total Fitness

KoBu PowerTM, the workout that can save your life, is sweeping the East Coast rapidly as more and more classes are being offered for teaching certifications. Bally Total Fitness is offering special programs for their current instructors to become certified KoBu Power instructors. Interest in KoBu Power certification is becoming so popular that Bally’s has been forced to limit the size of these classes.

The Level One and Level Two certification process includes a full 8-hour course. The first level teaches the entire workout program with emphasis on exact hand placements, body posture, movements, modifications, advanced moves and the names of each of the 18 techniques. Level Two then shows how to 'teach' the program to others making sure the instructors understand the reasons for the exact hand placements, body manipulations, etc. Also in the Level Two training is a demonstration of the Bunkai, which is the hidden self-defense method of the movements that really makes KoBu Power so unique. This really helps the new instructors to lock in the reason for the precise movements. After completing the Level Two certification training, instructors will feel confident to teach a KoBu Power Workout program.

The next certification classes are being held on Saturday Feb. 21st in Philadelphia, then on Saturday Feb. 28th in Greenbelt, MD. KoBu Power certification classes will then continue to be offered at more and more of the Bally’s Total Fitness locations across the country.

About KoBu Power (
www.kobupower.com)
KoBu Power™ is a weighted aerobic workout that will not only firm and tone the body, but will also teach self-defense at the same time. It is a full-body workout that incorporates a weighted bar throughout the entire cardio/strength training program. KoBu Power™ takes the centuries of Martial Art training and makes the aerobic workout a simple, step-by-step, motivated motion learning experience. KoBu Power was developed by Sensei Michael Graves, a 6th degree black belt in the style Shuri-te/Shaolin, and a member of the USA Karate Hall of Fame.
