the Academy Award For the Best Botox goes to...

The Oscar nominees to looking their absolute best, from $8000 a day Spa tratment to $50,000 Botox and instant nip-tuck session

Forget the Academy Awards' sealed envelopes. Tinseltown’s most tightly guarded secret is where best actress nominees Charlize Theron, and Diane Keaton will go to get their Botox, Restylane, and other quick fix me potions and remedies. Only their Doctors and publicists know-and they are not talking.

Deep in the palm-treed, whitewashed heart of Beverly Hills, Dr. Simon Ourian is busy managing the A-list patients who are here to take advantage of his pre-Oscar makeover affair. Starting a few weeks prior to the Oscar night, the door to the plush clinic becomes the entrance to an army of thirty and forty somethings who queue up for a hit of the precious injections, and lotions and laser treatments that are wiping out wrinkles faster than their blinking, laughing, squinting, and frowning can create them.

The event, one of the recent traditions in Hollywood, is just part of the madness infecting this city in the run-up to Sunday's Academy Awards. Hotels, restaurants and bars are full, and the shops along Melrose Place and Rodeo Drive are buzzing.

"This is like Christmas time," says Simon Ourian M.D., who is said to perform more Botox, Laser and Restylane treatments than anyone else in the world. “Every one wants to look their best.”

In Los Angeles this week, everyone remotely associated with the Academy Awards is struggling to attain the perfect smile and the perfect body, and they all want to find the perfect outfit. They will not settle for anything less than the best. Some experts estimate that the cost of sending a woman to the Oscars is in the range of $200,000, and months of preparation. At Dr. Ourian's office, at least, becoming beautiful is easy, and quick.

“On average we perform in excess of 100 procedures a day and in the weeks prior to the Oscars, this number doubles,” says Dr. Ourian. His A-list celebrity clientele, whose names he will not reveal, enter the clinic through the back door. He even makes house calls for a handful of these clients.

“They don’t want to look worried when the camera zooms in on them,” Says Dr. Ourian “ nor do they want to reveal the fact that they have aged since the last time they were in the spot light. They depend on me to make them look like a million dollars, and I take this very seriously.”

The most popular treatment is Botox, an injection that is used to relax the frown lines. The next most popular treatment is Coolaser, a laser procedure that is used to remove the fine lines and even out skin tone. These two treatments are closely followed by Radiance in popularity. Radiance is an injection used to plump up the lips.

As one of the Oscar nominees said during her treatment “ I am going to kiss everyone, starting with the Oscar itself, if I win, and I want my lips to be as luscious as possible.”

Dr. Ourian’s Epione Clinic is located in Beverly Hills’ “Golden Triangle,” and is among the world’s most comprehensive and state-of-the-art laser and aesthetic surgery centers. Epione provides the most current technology available for skin, hair and body contouring. Dr. Ourian has been a pioneer in laser technology and noninvasive aesthetic procedures for acne, skin discoloration, wrinkles and breast augmentation. Dr. Ourian is one of the most celebrated cosmetic surgeons in the United States, and has appeared on numerous National and international news shows, including ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and hundreds of other national and international media .
