GlucoMON™ Wireless Device Connecting Families Struggling to Manage Diabetes
Every day, the GlucoMON mobile monitoring system is making a huge difference in the lives of families living with diabetes. I used to call the school at lunch to check to see if he tested, and frankly, he really didn't like me ‘checking up’ on him. Now we have a great agreement. He tests on time, and I can just check my email or my cell phone and I instantly see his number - even last week when I was on the other side of the country. It's really helping him to remember to bolus, and he loves the independence.” Ms. Cooper is also President of the Children With Diabetes Foundation.
Without any training, anyone can use it to stay connected with his or her care team. At the Children with Diabetes conference, attendees will have the opportunity to use the GlucoMON and to see for themselves first-hand how easy it is to use. Parents that need to be connected to their kids at school, while they’re away on sleepovers and anytime they need help will be able to purchase a special bundled device and subscription package.
Diabetech’s patent pending technology is presently being extended beyond automated communication of glucose levels into remotely managing the delivery of insulin and other medications using portable medical infusion pumps. These products will build on the GlucoMON platform to continue to raise the standard of care for people managing chronic diseases.
