THE ART OF BEING A SUCCESSFUL LOSER

There is a new trend sweeping America. We spend over 30 billion dollars on it every year, and we lose billions more because of it. But losing the money isn’t the problem – the problem is losing the weight.

Americans just can’t seem to win the battle of the bulge. We’re spending more on our diets than we ever have before, and yet according to the Centers for Disease Control, a record 60% of Americans are overweight or obese. Despite all of our efforts, we just can’t figure out how to be successful losers.

“The problem with losing weight in America is all of the deception that’s out on the market nowadays,” says Sophy Tereschenko, successful weight-loser and author of “The Diet Mindset” e-book. “We’ve been led to be believe that the only way to lose weight is to spend money on a quick-working fad or supplement.”

The misleading nature of diet and weight-loss advertising has prompted the Federal Trade Commission to release alerts warning consumers of false claims, while the prevalence of obesity has caused the U.S. government to begin a complete overhaul of its Food Guide Pyramid.

“The fads and the gimmicks don’t work – we try them, we fail, and then we give up on the idea of losing weight,” said Tereschenko. “The truth is that weight-loss takes time and effort. The hardest part about losing weight is finding the motivation to stick with your diet for as long as it takes.”

Three years after losing 65 pounds and slimming down from a size 16 to a size 6, Tereschenko has written an e-book detailing the methods she used to get into what she calls The Diet Mindset.

“The Diet Mindset is the state of mind a person should be in when trying to lose weight. It’s not so much a diet as it is a dynamic method of changing your lifestyle and habits. It makes losing weight just another part of your everyday life,” described Tereschenko. “I created The Diet Mindset e-book and website to help people finally overcome their weight problems and get on with the rest of their life.”

Tereschenko has recently opened her website at
http://www.dietmindset.com. Here, potential ‘losers’ can read about and order “The Diet Mindset” e-book. Beyond the e-book itself, purchasers of “The Diet Mindset” gain access to a comprehensive Members Only Area of the website containing weight-loss tools and calculators, health news, a users forum, and even an entertaining Diet Diversions mini-site. The Diet Mindset also releases a monthly newsletter, Maintaining the Diet Mindset, to help users of the e-book stay motivated throughout their weight-loss experience.

“Since I’ve lost the weight, I’ve become a happier, healthier, and more determined person. I’ve gotten married, graduated college Summa Cum Laude, and am currently pursuing several business opportunities. Finally losing the weight proved to me that I was in charge of my own life and my own fate, and gave me the confidence to succeed at anything.”
