FORMER TV EXECUTIVE TURNS "NOSTALGIA" LECTURER

Former Family Channel vice president, Rick Busciglio, who recently retired from the broadcast industry after a 40 year career,has a new and growing career as a lecturer. His specialty is history, music and performers from the 1920's to the 1950's. A few of Rick's topics are; The Great Singers of Yesteryear, The Music of WW Two, The Great American Patriotic Songs, The Golden Age of Radio, The Great American Songwriters (Porter, Gershwin, Berlin,etc.) and Frank Sinatra, the Man and His Music.

Each of the presentations, which run about one hour, is supported by a unique computer generated audio and video display. His most recent presentation, Great American Patriotic Songs, for example, uses 180 "slides" or pages and took 75 hours to complete.

The presentations are also unique in that they are designed to be interactive and mentally stimulating. They are particularly well suited for senior citizens. Rick has been performing at several dozen retirement facilities in the New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvannia area,including Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, Heath Village in Hackettstown, and Kessler Village in Chatham, all in Northern New Jersey.

Ms. Joan Lawrence of Kessler Village in Chatham, NJ, wrote "Dear Rick;
Thank you once again for such a stimulating and entertaining afternoon with your Old Time Radio presentation. Our residents surely responded favorably to this program. The "critics" of Kessler Village all voted “thumbs up" for Memory Lane Presentations and we all look forward to your next program.."

One shy activities director said "All the ladies love you, we look forward to your return".

The audiences have reacted with comments such as,
"You brought back so many wonderful memories for me!"
"You made my day, please come back soon." and
"This is the most enjoyable event we've ever had!"

Many of the presentations are ideally suited for holiday usage, such as, July 4th, Armistice Day, Valentine's Day, etc.

Rick says that entertaining these older audiences has been a particular joy. To see an audience which had been sitting silently come to life and start singing along and tapping their feet is incredibly rewarding. "The people are so appreciative...they not only applaud, but many even hug me."

Rick calls his lecture service "Memory Lane Presentations" and has just launced a website www.memory-lane.org

Busciglio's 40 plus year radio and television career includes stints as a tv director, radio announcer, tv host, ad sales director, advertising/media/tv programming executive (NY ad agencies McCann-Erickson and BBDO), and most recently marketing vp for a cable network (The Family Channel)in both the US and the UK.

Now in semi-retirement, he lives with his wife of 45 years, Betty, and their Yorkie, Mac, in Chester Township, New Jersey.
