First-Ever Seminar Reduces Stress and Increases Quality of Life through Computers

CenterPoint Solution, a Microsoft® computer-training services firm, and R3 Health and Wellness Center, a holistic health center, are teaming up in a first ever seminar to promote total wellness both personally and professionally. This two-hour seminar, entitled Total Health '07, to be held on February 8, 2007, is designed to combine physical and emotional wellness from a holistic health perspective, while addressing the professional needs of time-saving and stress-reducing benefits using Microsoft® Office®. Total Health '07 will provide the tools needed for employees to enjoy what matters most; their life. The seminar will be held at the Microsoft's New York City Office, located at 1290 Avenue of Americas, from 8 a.m. through 10 a.m. The cost is free.

As a result of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce's networking event, Melanie Gass, President of CenterPoint Solution and Dr. Scott Jurica, a holistic doctor, Board Certified in Applied Kinesiology, discovered a link between their professions relating to the environment and the total well-being of the person. They decided to take on this endeavor with the goal of enabling individuals to reduce stress while being more productive and discover a greater quality of life. Gass, a Microsoft® Office® expert, will focus on tips to saving time in the office using the computer and Jurica will focus on the physical, nutritional and emotional well-being using the latest in research and noninvasive therapies.

Gass states, "80% of people feel stressed at work, and the average person works 49 hours per week. The computer is the most-used office tool, but few of us know how to use it efficiently." Jurica believes this is an excellent addition to helping someone achieve their goals. "Stress is often the root cause seen in my patients. Enabling them to see a balance in their work and personal lives is a recipe for longevity."
