Success with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder over the Holidays

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD or ADHD) affects approximately 7% of school aged children. The effects of ADD or ADHD impact all areas of a child or teen's life - including: school, family and social activities.

I want to provide families with a simple plan to deal with the major issues of the holiday season when the family is touched by ADD or ADHD.
While the holidays can be a very rewarding and enjoyable time for many families, parents' stress level can rise with all that is required to create a great holiday season. This stress can increase significantly if there is a child with ADD or ADHD in the house.

"Many families get so stressed out during the Christmas season that it is hard for them to enjoy what the holidays are supposed to be about. This is compounded when there is a child or teen with ADD or ADHD in the family," says Dr. Kenny Handelman, Child Psychiatrist and expert on ADHD. "I want to provide families with a simple plan to deal with the major issues of the holiday season when the family is touched by ADD or ADHD."

Dr. Handelman is requesting that parents submit their single most important question about dealing with ADD or
ADHD during the Christmas break, at www.ADHDandtheHolidays.com. Participants will then be invited to a free teleseminar on Thursday December 14, 2006 at 9 pm EST, to learn the answers to the most frequently asked questions.

The content of this free teleseminar will come directly from the questions that you submit. Dr. Handelman will be sure to teach parents how to deal with common situations like:

•   How to complete a shopping trip with your ADD or ADHD child
•   How to keep your child's behavior on track during the Christmas break
•   How to decide if you child should continue ADHD medication during the Christmas break
•   How to create special holiday moments that you will cherish
•   How to use the holidays to improve your relationship with your ADD/ADHD child so that your relationship will be better throughout the year

Please visit
ADHD and the holidays to submit your question about ADHD on the Christmas Break, so that you can ensure success with ADD or ADHD over the holidays.

Dr. Kenny Handelman is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, in Canada and the United States. He teaches about ADD and ADHD in his online newsletter, found at:
www.TheADHDDoctor.com. He also provides up to date information about ADD and ADHD at his blog, ADHD Blog.
