Yoga Nurse Introduces Raab Clinic Cancer Patients to New Wellness Program
Annette Tersigni, RN, known as Yoga Nurse, shares the spirituality in her life as an educator and healer. Her most recent accomplishment has been creating a new yoga and wellness program for cancer patients at Raab Oncology Clinic. The workshop will be one of the first to penetrate the South's traditional medical system, and it will provide patients with an outlet to release stress during their recovery.
In addition to her new endeavor, Annette plans many different wellness programs that support a healthy lifestyle, including Yoga & Stress Management for more than 1,100 employees at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, N.C., and teaches Medical Yoga to clients with heart disease and cancer.
A former fashion model, cover girl and actor who appeared in commercials, films and as one of the “Mighty Carson Art Players” on the Johnny Carson show, Annette lived the Hollywood Dream. A frequent guest of the rich and famous, she says she “retired from show business before the business retired her.” Destiny guided her to a new life as a specialist in stress management, medical yoga and Ayurveda, the science of life and longevity. Returning to college at the age of 48, she graduated with honors as an RN at 51.
Annette presents Mini-Stress Management, 10- or 20-minute refreshers ideal for full day conferences, seminars, meetings and trainings that create team building through relaxation. She gives talks and workshops on how to improve quality of life to international clients, government, colleges and to large and small businesses. She also appears on TV and radio as an expert in her field and has produced a CD titled, “How to Grow Younger with Yoga Nurse,” a mini-stress management and yoga program suitable for all ages.
Annette is available as a guest speaker, workshop leader and consultant locally and internationally. |
