FLAVORx President Announces Nationwide Search for the FLAVORx SuperKid- Similar to 'American Idol'
FLAVORx President and CEO, Kenny Kramm formally announced today the commencement of the first annual nationwide search for the FLAVORx SuperKid. This new face of FLAVORx will appear on marketing materials across the United States for the duration of one year. The winner will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and a roundtrip flight to Washington, D.C. with guardian for a photo shoot and tour of the city and company’s corporate offices. Additionally, the person who nominates the winner will receive a $500 cash prize. The top 20 finalists will be featured on the FLAVORx website and votes from the American public will help determine the winner. The contest deadline is April 30th.

When approached with the idea to find a new face of FLAVORx, the company thought, what better way to find the cutest, funniest, best all-around kid to represent FLAVORx, then to ask for nominations from the people who know the most superb kids—you. As Kramm puts it, “There are just so many children out there with outstanding personalities and unique stories, just waiting to be seen and heard. We aren’t looking for a famous superstar to represent FLAVORx. What we are looking for is a great kid that everyone can relate and attach to.” FLAVORx's medicinal flavoring system is currently available in nearly 35,000 pharmacies in the U.S. alone, and finding the ideal child to represent FLAVORx is essential to adequately promote the company’s mission and dedication to improve pediatric health and well-being.
When the top 20 finalists have been determined by the voting committee, their pictures and stories will be listed on the FLAVORx website. The American public can then vote for their favorite nominee to represent the FLAVORx SuperKid. When asked about the unique voting process, company CFO Woodie Neiss remarked, “It’s almost like ‘American Idol.’ Who better to determine what appeals to the public the most than the American public themselves? By choosing the winner in this fashion, we know we will find a child who charms and wins the heart of everyone. But don’t worry; we won’t have a Simon Cowell.” More details on voting will be available when the finalists are announced.
Keeping in line with FLAVORx’s focus on children’s best interests, it is of no surprise that the bulk of the contest award is a college scholarship fund. The $1,000 scholarship will help alleviate the rising cost of higher education and fortify the company’s belief that all children should be given the opportunity to pursue advanced degrees. The roundtrip flight to Washington D.C. will provide a chance for the winner to visit the nation’s capital and be given a hands-on and in-person opportunity to learn about American history and culture, and maybe even catch a glimpse of President George Bush. A cash prize of $500 will be given to the person who nominates the winner to encourage people to participate and provide an in-depth and creative description of their nominee’s qualities.
To enter, submit your information, the name of the child you would like to nominate, why he or she would make a great FLAVORx SuperKid and a recent photo. As an added step, complete the optional question on your experience with FLAVORx. Information will not be used or distributed without the nominee’s approval. Nominations forms are currently available on-line at www.flavorx.com or available by hard copy by contacting Teresa Chen at 800.884.5771, extension 234. |

I read another article that FLAVORx is reaching out to the special needs community of children for this program. This is so commendable I can't even tell you. I have a 9 year old little boy with cerebal palsey and he has always been excluded from everything. This allows all these kids a chance to be normal if just for a second
