Clinical Validation of A Simple, Manual-Digital Home Blood Pressure Monitor

Auto Control Medical Inc., a distributor of home health monitoring devices, today announced the publication of the clinical validation study of the LifeSource UA-704 Mini Manual Inflate blood pressure monitor. The study was just published in the professional journal Blood Pressure Monitoring and received a top A/A rating using the British Hypertension Society protocol. The study was conducted by Russian clinicians under the direction of Dr. Zhanna D. Kobalava of the Russian Peoples’ University.

The LifeSource UA-704 Mini Manual Inflate is an innovative monitor that incorporates digital blood pressure technology and advanced features with an economical manual pump instead of the more expensive electric pump used in most modern home blood pressure monitors. The result is a retail cost almost half of higher end models. Included with this new monitor is an Irregular Heartbeat feature which allows those who have an irregular heartbeat a reliable method of taking their blood pressure at home. For added convenience, the UA-704 monitor is designed to fit in the palm of the hand. This energy efficient monitor can perform approximately 2,000 measurements with just one ‘AA’ battery (included). Medium and large cuff versions are available.

This successful accuracy study of this new monitor means that it is the only validated manual-digital monitor available to Canadians. The list of validated LifeSource models is now: UA-767, UA-779, UA-787AC, UA-774, UA-767PAC and UA-704.

LifeSource Blood Pressure Monitors are available at professional outlets such as pharmacies and home health care stores.
