Canadian YMCA Improves New Member Retention by 48% Using FITaccess

The findings involved hundreds of new members that joined the Prince George Family YMCA this year. Some of them were oriented and supported using existing measures while others were introduced to a system of enhanced communication with staff through FITaccess and the included new exerciser retention procedure called CONNECT. "Before we started using CONNECT, our retention procedure included initial orientations, 30, 60, 90-day follow-ups and a phone-back customer satisfaction service which gave us a new member retention of 66% for the six month period." said Tanis Wey, Fitness Director for the Prince George YMCA. "But the real surprise was the difference that FITaccess and CONNECT made. It increased the number of contacts that our staff have with new members, a group made up of mainly people new to exercise, and helped us achieve a new member retention of 97% for those using FITaccess without adding additional staff. These new members are better prepared for long term success and our staff are more in touch with their needs."

"The Prince George Family Y has been a true partner in the refinement of our FITaccess system," said Russell King, President and CEO of FITaccess Technologies. "Their ongoing support has enabled us to learn very quickly how to make our system both fun and functional. The growing member acceptance is testament to our joint efforts and the recently installed touch-screen kiosks combined with new features in upcoming FITaccess version 3.0 should result in attracting an even wider audience to the benefits and rewards of the system."

FITaccess is offered with on-site installation and staff training and a variety of support and licensing options. FITaccess solutions are available for evaluation or purchase today by contacting the company directly at
