Cancergiggles (Mountains are Easy) Published in Paperback Following Massive Success

A poignant and frighteningly hilarious approach to dealing with cancer, life and death.

It is probably difficult for the fit and well to understand a bizarre phenomenon which I have only just come to recognise. When you have some sort of niggling, life threatening complaint which causes you problems on a daily basis, it is unbelievably easy to overlook it.

I have always considered stupidity to be a commendable gift when it is exhibited by me. In others I find it beneath contempt.

Pains, pills and strange feelings are dealt with by the other me so day after day, as this me, I just forget things like sickness and death, in the same way that you ignore your head (apologies at this stage to all migraine sufferers). There is, in principle, no reason why you could not be permanently fixated with your head it would just seem to rather a waste of time.

Cancer has let me find a much larger than expected number of people with whom I'm really happy to share the planet. Having done the maths, I know that if extrapolated world wide there would still only be enough of them to fill a pretty small cul de sac, but nevertheless it was a shock.
