Donald Goldberg Appointed as New CEO for eko systems
Fairfax, VA July 12, 2005 -- eko systems, inc., a healthcare information technology company providing a state-of the art Perioperative Clinical Information Management System for hospital and free standing surgical environments, is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Goldberg as Chief Executive Officer. "Don's vision, leadership, knowledge of the healthcare industry, and energy has enabled him to do a remarkable job in building and directing eko systems," said Árni Blöndal, Chairman of the Board. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Don served as the COO where he was responsible for reengineering the company’s sales process and customer support program.

Don's career in the healthcare industry spans 30 years. He served as the Partner-in-Charge of Ernst & Young's Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Consulting Practice. In this capacity, Don developed and managed a multi-million business unit that focused on improving healthcare organizations' systems and financial effectiveness. Other experiences included the position of Vice President at Quorum Health Resources where he directed the development and management of Management Services Organizations (MSOs) throughout the country and more recently he served as a Partner of Integrated Compliance Solutions, a company focused on marketing and implementing innovative technology for the healthcare industry.
