ManthaMed Inc. Has Been Granted Canadian Distribution Rights for the BpTRU™ Blood Pressure Monitor
Mississauga, Ontario January 18, 2005 -- ManthaMed Inc., a Canadian distributor devoted to the promotion of diagnostic testing designed to detect and monitor certain medical conditions has added another medical device to its product line. The BpTRU is an automated non-invasive blood pressure monitor that is reliable, accurate and easy to use. The device is designed for the office, clinic or acute care setting and operates with or without the operator present. At the touch of a single button, the device automatically performs up to six measurements, discards the first reading and displays the average of the subsequent readings (systolic, diastolic and pulse rate). The interval of the readings (start to start) can be varied from 1 to 5 minutes depending on user preference as well as take a single point measurement. The device is approved for use on patients 3 years of age and older. The BpTRU has undergone validation tests and is a valuable alternative to currently used mercury and aneroid devices.
BpTRU Features: - Designed for clinical setting - Can be wall-mounted, table-top, or used with mobile stand - Select measurement intervals from 1 to 5 minutes - View single measurements or average of up to 5 readings - Includes 3 comfortable latex-free cuffs (sizes adult small, medium and large) - Pediatric and extra-large cuff available
