Insight Sciences Adds 4D-MSPECT© to its FDA Approved Product Offerings

Traverse City, MI August 27, 2004 -- Insight Sciences, a biomedical imaging technology company, and the University of Michigan recently completed a license agreement that allows Insight Sciences to sell the FDA approved 4D-MSPECT Myocardial Perfusion and Function Imaging software package.

“This agreement exemplifies our commitment to providing the best in tomographic imaging software and hardware capabilities,” states Declan Cooper, CTO of Insight Sciences. “We chose 4D-MSPECT after an opportunity to extensively test the software, and will bundle it with our mobile workstations as a premier cardiac imaging and assessment package.”

The 4D-MSPECT software application is used for SPECT and PET based imaging studies. The software quantitatively analyzes tomographic (SPECT) cardiac nuclear medicine perfusion (ungated or gated) and blood pool (gated) studies and provides measurements in a user readable format. Such variables can be reported in comparison to normal ranges or distributions.

Insight Sciences’ mobile workstations, the MW-I™ series, provide the capabilities of a desktop in a portable computer. The systems have upgradeable CPU’s and other configurable components such as dual disk drives, 256 megabytes of video memory, and up to two gigabytes of main memory.
