Cellulite Cure by Injections?

A cure for cellulite that doesn't involve surgery? Cottage cheese or orange peel thighs. You've heard it all and nobody likes them. That dimpled, irregular, untoned appearance. Nine out of 10 women have cellulite, and they spend an estimated $3 billion a year trying to get rid of it--even though every shred of medical evidence proves that the wraps, creams and potions simply don't work. Nine out of ten women have it -- what can they do about it? There is one procedure which to date is the most promising in the eradication of cellulite forever.

Hailed as the most promising treatment in the recent years for safer, non-surgical cosmetic alternatives, Cellumelt™ , a Mesotherapy treatment for cellulite reduction is officially on the menu at the prestigious Epione Plastic Surgery Institute in Beverly Hills. More than twenty million women have been treated by a similar technique around the world for 15 years.

Doctor Simon Ourian MD, cosmetic surgeon to the stars, is injecting this fat-dissolving cocktail into the mesoderm (the fat layer of skin) and making the fat disappear almost instantaneously. The treatment takes less than 30 minutes and the results are remarkable.

"I have had only three treatments and have literally watched my thighs slim down, and have become smoother and cellulite free in front of my eyes" says Sharon, 36, actress.

The problem
Most women and some men have cellulite. It is estimated that 90% of the female population currently has or will, at some point, in their lives have cellulite. It is not a condition affecting only the obese or overweight -- it can affect any of us and has no prejudice. So, throw everything out the window that you've heard about cellulite and listen up. Your skinny little cousin may have it, your average-weighted friend who just had liposuction may have it, that overweight lady at the deli may have it, and even if you have been exercising all your life and have a great body to show for it, you may have it too.

To find out if you have it, pinch your thigh slightly with your index and thumb and if you begin to see dents and bumps -- that is cellulite. However, many of us don't even have to pinch our thighs to see it. For many of us, we can just stand there, innocently, and tear up at the sight of our dimpled backsides in the mirror.

The cause
Cellulite is a skin condition seen commonly in the hips, thighs, and buttocks. The cottage cheese appearance or multiple dimples on the skin occurs in over 90% of post pubescent women. It is not related to being overweight, as some people believe, but rather to genetics. When Mesotherapy is performed, the cellulite area develops increased blood and lymphatic flow, decreased fibrosis of the connective tissue, and reduction of the fat deposits. The net result is a smoothing of the skin and reduction of cellulite.

Visible Results In Minutes
Cellumelt™ can be performed as a quick out patient procedure. The desired areas of treatment are injected with a combination of FDA approved medications and vitamins. The procedure takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on the areas treated. There is minimal bruising and swelling and the patient can return to his/her daily activities immediately after the procedure. Dr. Ourian uses the latest non-surgical injections called Cellumelt™ to get rid of excess body fat, and cellulite. “It’s also great for easily eliminating those last stubborn five pounds,” Dr. Ourian has found. “Patients typically loose a half pound of fat with each injection session” Results are usually seen in the first session.

According to Dr. Ourian, Eueopean women receive mesotherapy routinely starting in their 20’s to prevent cellulite. Most people will require anywhere from 6-10 sessions to achieve optimal results. The treatments are spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Dieting and exercise will definitely help to maintain one's results over the long term.

Dr. Ourian's Epione Medical Center, located in Beverly Hills Golden Triangle, is among the world's most comprehensive and state-of-the-art laser and aesthetic surgery centers. Epione™ provides the most innovative technology available for skin, hair and body contouring. Dr. Ourian has been a pioneer for laser technology and non-invasive aesthetic procedures for acne, skin discoloration, wrinkles and breast augmentation.
